After a record 2017 edition, the 2018 Granfondo Nove Colli – Selle Italia will once again draw cycling fans and two wheel enthusiasts from all over the world to converge on the roads of Cesenatico.
The date for the race has been set for May 20th, 2018, but the next important step is the much-anticipated click-day, which will be held on Tuesday, November 7th, at 12:00 noon.
Out of 12000 slots available for the 48th edition of the oldest Granfondo event in the world, there will be 10000 race numbers available on click-day. That’s 1000 more than last year. As always, to claim a place in the forty-eighth edition of the Nove Colli – Selle Italia, timing and registration speed will be essential.
In order to speed up the process, according to the usual routine, pre-registration will be available on line via the web page www.novecolli.it. Starting on October 18th, and up until 10:00 a.m. on November 7th, you can enter the information for each individual athlete or team that wants to sign up for the event. This process does not guarantee the right to participate in the event; it is just a way to speed up the registration process.
The click day registration fee this year has been confirmed at € 75.00, while the option for a race number + hotel will be available as of November 22nd for the current price of €100.00.
Race numbers purchased together with a hotel stay will have rights to a place on the yellow starting grid.
Another way to participate in the 2018 edition will be to register for the waiting list starting January 15th, by signing on the website www.novecolli.it, from which new participants will be drawn should there be any cancellations or withdrawals.
Every registered participant will receive a race package featuring exclusive gadgets by Sportful and an SMS chip with Winning Time technology (as of this year it no longer needs to be returned and can be used up until the 31st of December, 2018, for all Winning Time races). Registered riders will also have the right to mechanical and medical assistance, radio emergency services, 9 snacks on the 205 km route and 4 on the 131k route, shower services, secure bike parking, a participation medal, and of course the beloved pasta party and the diploma that can be downloaded from the web site.
Everything is ready for the 48th edition, which promises to be unique and full of surprises, starting with the addition of a new starting grid to allow for better traffic flow during the spectacular dawn departure along Porto Canale in Cesenatico.
