A 350km long journey started from Cesenatico with 24 cyclists of the G.C. Fausto Coppi. A bike ride to bring a concrete help in the areas of central Italy affected by the earthquake.

Keep alive the attention and do not forget the populations involved in the recent earthquake in central Italy, but also the will to take concrete actions to support those affected by the disaster rebuilding a new future. This is the meaning of the pro-earthquake two-wheels ride organized by the G.C. Fausto Coppi, ended on June the 4th, with the delivery of the charity cheque at the Scuola di Ciclismo Progetto Piceno.

The total amount was reached thanks to the 12.000 participants in the Granfondo Nove Colli - Selle Italia, who through their registrations fees contributed effectively in collecting 24.000 euros.

Departing from Cesenatico on June the 2nd, the 24 cyclists of the G.C. Fausto Coppi, riding on their bikes, took part in a 350km ride, divided into three stages, with the aim of reaching Arquata del Tronto to make clear the support from the whole Nove Colli populations.

After the first stage in the beautiful Numana, the group proceed to Ascoli Piceno, passing through Offida. Once reached the “city of the hundred towers”, the G.C. Fausto Coppi was joined by the friends of the Pompei-Cesenatico who also collected a sum for the project. In the third and final stage, 16 other associates of the G.C. Fausto Coppi have joined the big expeditions and all together reached Arquata del Tronto where, in the presence of the sports Alderman of Acquasanta, Arquata's municipal councillors and the Mayor of Cesenatico Matteo Gozzoli, they handed out the charity cheque and received the applause of all those present.
