The big names
The two captains of the #NoveColli4Children Dream Team will be former professional riders Filippo Pozzato and Marco Marcato. Joining them as a special guest will be actor Marco Palvetti, famous for his role as Salvatore Conte in the TV series Gomorra and for portraying “Il Pirata” in The Pantani Case, together with Chiara Ciuffini, Enervit ambassador and former Amateur World Champion.
The Dream Team will be accompanied and escorted by Isaac del Toro, UAE Team Emirates XRG champion, who will tackle the nine legendary climbs for the first time in his career.
Two other great names from Italian cycling will also be in Cesenatico: Fabio Aru, one of only four Italian cyclists in history to have worn the yellow jersey at the Tour de France, the pink jersey at the Giro d’Italia and the red jersey at the Vuelta a España; and Alessandro Petacchi, one of the strongest sprinters of his generation, with 22 stage wins at the Giro d’Italia and an impressive 179 career victories.
The #NoveColli4Children initiative
In addition to the captains and their teammates already mentioned, the Dream Team will also include participants who specifically chose to pay a special registration fee, with part of the proceeds donated to IOR – Istituto Oncologico Romagnolo.
The group’s goal will be to complete the medium route in under four hours in order to achieve the solidarity fundraising target.
On Saturday, 23 May at 6:00 PM, the official #NoveColli4Children Dream Team kit will be presented at the Gobik stand.
