NoveColli4Children: A parade of stars for solidarity

Marco Marcato, Luca Paolini, Matteo Montaguti, Paolo Bettini, Ivan Basso, Marco Saligari, Cristian Zorzi and Mario Cipollini riding for the IIOR Romagnolo Cancer Institute (IOR) in collaboration with Fausto Coppi  and Sportful

 

 The NoveColli4Children dream team is ready to saddle up for solidarity with a high level team that will take part in the Cesenatico Granfondo to help and support the activity that the Romagnolo Cancer Institute at the Pediatric Hematology Department of Rimini. The driving force behind this initiative is ASD Fausto Coppi, organizer of Nove Colli, and Sportful, a brand that has always been attentive to the needs and requirements of the youngest. These two groups will each give €5000, or €10,000 to the IOR. But there is a challenge that could double solidarity. If at least four riders of the team manage to finish the 130km route under the 4-hour time limit, ASD Fausto Coppi and Sportful will double their commitment to €20,000, a very important number that confirms our commitment, solidarity and concrete, over these years.

 

The top-level team that will ride for solidarity will be formed by Marco Marcato, Luca Paolini, Matteo Montaguti, Paolo Bettini, Cristian Zorzi, Ivan Basso, Marco Saligari, and Mario Cipollini.

Marco Marcato, UAE Team Emirates who's closing out his career with the Nove Colli; Luca Paolini, former professional rider since 2000 and winner of the 2015 Ghent-Wevelgem; Matteo Montaguti, former Italian professional; Paolo Bettini, Olympic Champion in Athens in 2004 and World Champion in 2006 and 2007; Cristian Zorzi, former Italian Olympic gold medalist in Turin 2006; Ivan Basso, winner of the Giro d'Italia in 2006 and 2010; Marco Saligari, former professional and voice of Rai cycling; Mario Cipollini, 2002 World Champion and winner of 42 stages in the Giro d'Italia.
