Today, the new multi-purpose sports facility in Cesenatico was inaugurated by the ASD Fausto Coppi. This event took place on the eve of the 52nd edition of the Nove Colli, and the Fausto Coppi Association will manage the facility for the next five years. It's a significant moment for Cesenatico and beyond, as the cycling track is the largest in the entire Emilia-Romagna region and has the potential to become a national sports landmark. A special facility required a special guest, and the first lap on the track was completed by Miguel Indurain, who is in Cesenatico to participate in tomorrow's Granfondo. He was joined by Ivan Basso, Mauro Gianetti, Davide Cassani, Marta Cavalli, Massimiliano Lelli, Rocco Cattaneo, and over 350 children who took part in the Mini Granfondo, running for the first time on the new track. It was a celebration and a new beginning.

The cycling track measures 1.6 kilometers and can be used for various activities, including road cycling, running, handbike, to name a few. Inside the facility, there is also a skating rink, along with a building covering over 200 square meters that houses changing rooms, storage areas, and a medical station. The entire facility is well-lit.
