Nove Colli for Romagna: €10,200.00 donated for the reconstruction of the Ciola Pass after the flood and the novelty of the "Romagna Grid"

Solidarity of the Granfondo realized in collaboration with Gobik

The solidarity of the 2023 Nove Colli edition was not only in intentions but also in a concrete manner. On the eve of the 2024 edition, part of the funds raised last year is coming to fruition with €10,200.00 donated for the reconstruction of the Ciola Pass, damaged by the May flood. Giunio Bonoli, president of Fausto Coppi, handed over the check to the provincial president and mayor of Cesena, Enzo Lattuca, in the presence of provincial councilor and mayor of Cesenatico, Matteo Gozzoli. This concrete commitment was made possible thanks to the support of Gobik.

Solidarity doesn't end here because on this occasion, a major announcement for the next edition is made: the "Romagna Grid" will be inaugurated at the starting line, open to all participants residing in Romagna cities, who will line up just after the "Red Grid". Soon, all details for accessing the new special grid will be available on the race's official website, both for those already registered and those yet to do so.

The words of Giunio Bonoli, president of ASD Fausto Coppi: "We believe that solidarity should not only be announced and sponsored but there must come a moment when it materializes. The flood has hit our region, and all cyclists - who know and love its roads and landscapes even more than others - have been affected on a moral and emotional level. This donation, along with Gobik and some friends of  Nove Colli like Gianni Benedet, we hope it marks the beginning of a journey," commented Giunio Bonoli.
