Tradition and Innovation: Nove Colli embraces Gravel riding

In addition to the confirmed and beloved traditional routes, there's an extra opportunity for all Novecollisti

Nove Colli opens up to the world of Gravel riding, thus the world's oldest Granfondo seeks to embrace even more enthusiasts and lovers of this sport.

On May 19th, there will be the pure Nove Colli riders, returning to the original route after the 2023 flood, the non-timed cyclists who will tackle the "Laltro percorso" route, and the Gravel riders who can choose between two courses. All within the splendid atmosphere and quality of Nove Colli. Bringing them all together - as always - is the finish village and the iconic pasta party.

The Routes

Two routes, one covering 85 km with 1400 meters of elevation gain, and the other 130 km with 2600 meters of elevation gain.

The trials will be self-managed with GPX files available, but marked at the most intricate points. Competitors can enjoy the same refreshment stations as the road race and can celebrate together at the final pasta party. As always, the race pack will be rich, featuring a Gravel technical jersey with customized Nove Colli Gobik graphics, Enervit nutritional elements, and much more.

The cost is 50 euros, and registrations will open on February 28th following the same procedure as the road race, but with the dedicated "Gravel" button.

To enhance the experience, the organization will be enriched by two super collaborators: former professional Gian Paolo Mondini, who has embraced this world and knows the routes and needs of this new discipline, and Paolo Ballardini, already known as an organizer of gravel events like "Il Romagnolo Audace" and others.

Rules and details for the Gravel routes will be available shortly on the website www.novecolli.it.
