#NoveColli4Children: Solidarity rides on the wheels of champions

Jury Chechi, Ivan Basso, Mauro Gianetti, Cristian Zorzi, Rocco Cattaneo, Michele Pirro, and Gianpaolo Mondini in the saddle for the Romagnolo Oncology Institute (IOR); with the great Beppe Saronni as the super coach and also riding alongside them.

The dream team #NoveColli4Children is ready to get on the saddle for solidarity with a high-level lineup that will take part in the Cesenatico Granfondo to help and support the activities carried out by the Romagna's Oncology Institute at the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Department in Rimini. Providing the driving force behind this initiative are the Asd Fausto Coppi, organizers of the Nove Colli, and Gobik, the leading brand of the race. A prize of 10.000 euros is at stake, but at least 4 members of the Dream Team must complete the 130km route within the time limit of 4 hours. It's a tough challenge because despite the athletic abilities of everyone, good training is still required to achieve the coveted goal.

Forming the high-level team that will ride for solidarity are Jury Chechi, Ivan Basso, Mauro Gianetti, Cristian Zorzi, Rocco Cattaneo, Michele Pirro, and Gianpaolo Mondini. The exceptional coach will be Beppe Saronni, who will ride together with the team and be responsible for the race strategy.

The team:

Jury Chechi, Olympic gold medalist in rings and now an experienced long-distance cyclist; Ivan Basso, two-time winner of the Giro d'Italia; Mauro Gianetti, winner of Liege-Bastogne-Liege and vice world champion in 1996 in Lugano, currently CEO of the UAE Team Emirates; Cristian Zorzi, former Italian cross-country skier and Olympic gold medalist at Turin 2006; Rocco Cattaneo, former professional cyclist and current member of the UCI Financial Committee; Michele Pirro, Ducati rider; Gianpaolo Mondini, former professional cyclist and winner of a stage in the 1999 Tour de France.
