Davide Cassani, Ivan Basso, Rocco Cattaneo, Mauro Gianetti, Cristian Zorzi, and Gianpaolo Mondini will ride to help the Romagna region after the May flood

The dream team of #NoveColli4Romagna is ready to saddle up for solidarity with a high-level lineup that will take part in the Cesenatico Granfondo to assist and support the Romagna region after the May flood. This "race within the race" is usually aimed at helping the Romagna's Oncological Institute, but in this particular year, IOR and Nove Colli have decided jointly to find a special formula, always in the spirit of solidarity.

This initiative is being driven by the Asd Fausto Coppi - organizer of Nove Colli - and Gobik, a prominent brand in the race. A prize of €10,000 is at stake, which will be added to any profits from ASD Fausto Coppi 2023, but at least 3 members of the Dream Team must complete the 170km course within the 6-hour time limit. It's a tough challenge because despite the athletic abilities of all, good training is still required to achieve the coveted goal.

Forming the high-level team that will pedal for solidarity are Davide Cassani, Ivan Basso, Rocco Cattaneo, Mauro Gianetti, Cristian Zorzi, and Gianpaolo Mondini.

Davide Cassani, former coach of the Italian national team and current president of APT; Ivan Basso, two-time winner of the Giro d'Italia; Rocco Cattaneo, former professional cyclist and current member of the UCI Financial Committee; Mauro Gianetti, winner of Liege-Bastogne-Liege and vice world champion in 1996 in Lugano, currently CEO of UAE Team Emirates; Cristian Zorzi, former Italian cross-country skier and Olympic gold medalist in Turin 2006; Gianpaolo Mondini, former professional and Italian time trial champion in 2003.
