The Nove Colli is approaching: 9246 riders ready to start

Over 1500 foreigners, Germany is the leading nation, there are also registered participants from the Philippines and Palestine

 

The scent of the Nove Colli is getting closer and Cesenatico is getting ready to welcome the army of riders that will invade it for the scenic start at dawn on Sunday, May 21st.

There are 9246 registered riders ready to pin their bib on their backs, with 1513 athletes coming from abroad. The percentage of foreigners is 16.3%, and it has been since 2008 that such a high rate has not been recorded, a sign that the Nove Colli has returned to being one of the most international events after the years of the health emergency.

 

The nations

The "leader" nation is as usual Germany with 428 registered participants, followed by Switzerland with 347, then Austria with 167, England with 138, Belgium with 117, France with 65, Sweden with 30, the Netherlands with 27 and Argentina with 22. There will be 12 American runners and among the others to mention, there are some nations that plant their flag in Cesenatico with one participant: Nicaragua, the Philippines, Kenya, Bolivia, Sri Lanka, China, and even Palestine.
