Four volunteers from the Italian Red Cross will take part in the Granfondo riding their electric bicycles to further enhance the safety of the riders
A special project is coming to the next edition of the Nove Colli with the "Red Lanterns" of the Italian Red Cross who will act as true sentinels along the entire route: 4 trained volunteers will indeed participate in the race aboard electric bikes equipped with specific technical clothing and first aid kits. They will also have a radio with them to stay in contact and be ready to intervene promptly if there are any needs on the track. This is an agile, fast, and innovative way to monitor the race and further enhance all the medical facilities already in place. The Red Cross on bicycles project is coming to the streets of Cesenatico for the first time, and starting from the Agip Colony, joining the over 9,000 registered participants will be Giancarlo Perazzi, Mohamed Guennani, Adamo D'Onofrio, and Luigi Giuliano. The first two come from Piedmont, the third from Lazio, and the last one from Campania.
"We will participate in the medium route," explains Giancarlo Perazzi, National Coordinator of the Red Cross on Bicycles, "starting together and then spreading out along the track, ready to intervene in case of emergencies and unexpected events. I want to thank the Cesenatico Red Cross, especially President Robertino Pasolini, for this great opportunity that we are very happy to seize."
